And, there is nothing wrong in loving visual art or exploring one’s hand at photography, as far as we have a decent camera to click anything we think is worthy enough. As photographers, bloggers and bikers are all increasing more than ever we all keep looking for places where we can click ourselves and our steeds and look good.
So, making life easier for you, we have brought together 15 of the best places in Delhi you must visit to click some great pictures with your bike.
1. Lodhi Colony
Looking for larger than life graffiti and street art? Lodhi colony is your place
2. India Gate
People from the world over come and see India Gate for its massiveness. It is the sign of patriotism and who can forget those “be a rebel” moments from Bollywood shot here?
3. Tihar Jail
Who’d have thought that one of the biggest and most famous prisons in the world would be the hub of some amazing art? Ride around Tihar Jail and you’ll realize it is a proper poem written along the walls, word by word.
4. Sanjay Van
Delhi has some green patches if not too many and Sanjay Van near Qutub Institutional area is one of them. The fun bit is, bikes are allowed inside but only from very few gates. Go exploring.
5. Shanti Path
Really early in the morning and very late at night is when you should be shooting here. It is a VVIP Zone and even before you‘ve setup the camera, cops might drive in, but, shooting here is not impossible.
6. Cannaught Place
Long lines of tall white pillars, some touch of modernity and a bit of an old school charm. That is what Connaught Place has in store and whether it is crowded day or a silent night, this is the place with multiple locations to shoot in.
7. Hauz Khas Village
Hauz Khas Village was the party hub of Delhi once, and then it got bad. But, it still has some amazing art and architecture. To top it all, restaurants and clubs keep opening and closing every other day, so every time you come, you might find the same spot with a new look.
8. Vigyaan Bhawan
Contrary to it’s name, the Vigyaan Bhawan in Delhi doesn’t have much of a sci-fi feel to it, but the arch is still beautiful and with some good greenery around, you might be able to capture some great shots.
9. Gurgaon Faridabad Road
Known as GFR to a lot of bikers in Delhi, this is one road full of some great curves and open roads to get riding shots on. Just that, it’s recently become very famous so a lot of rookies might be seen on it, trying to do knee downs in shorts and slippers. Take care.
10. Mangar
Just after crossing the GFR Toll moving towards Faridabad, the Mangar village cut is the first one on your right. It is a long winding road with hardly any traffic hence giving you enough opportunity to shoot. However, don’t overstay here, as some villagers might try to harass you for money.
11. Mehrauli
The Mehrauli fort is another historical wonder that lends the perfect backdrop for a classic shot. Thank us later.
12. Mutiny Memorial
The students at North Campus in Delhi vouch for the beauty of the Mutiny Memorial, a silently standing wonder that is a great place to park your bike and click.
13. Rashtrapati Bhawan
Lutyen’s Delhi is beautiful and the Rashtrapati Bhawan or the President’s House is the biggest testimony of that. Just that, don’t go here around a national event, as you won’t be allowed anywhere near for obvious reasons.
14. Gyarah Murti
After having a great time at the Rashtrapati Bhawan, head to the Gyarah Murti, just 4/5 minutes away. It is an example of marvellous sculpting and a great backdrop for a riding picture.
15. Old Delhi
A lot many photographers would shy away from heading to Old Delhi for motorcycle photography, but that’s what makes you stand out in the crowd. If you can, take a nice looking machine into this beautiful mess and you’ll be amazed with the results.
